I’ve had some good google reviews in the past and yesterday I received my first low google review recently.  Google reviews never go away, and there is not a good platform to “answer” a lower google review so I thought I would set up this page to tell my side of this google review.

This reveiw is by Denise Rock and reads as follows.

“I was treated rudely with just e-mails. Ive never been to the shop and now I won’t take my business there. There is a big difference between saying I Cant help you and bluntly saying no, I wont help you. Not good customer service in my opinion.”

Since our  whole discussion was on email I will simply cut and paste the whole email conversation here.  Notes by me in red.

Here is her initial contact with me and following that is my reply to her.

My name is Denise Rock. I am needing help in locating an exhaust manifold for my 1989 Winnebago Le’Sharo or having a huge crack in it repaired.  My cell number is 816.406.9474. E-mail address is rockdenise48@gmail.com. Call me anytime-I am medically retired. Thank you!

We dont work on Rv’s.  I doubt it can be repaired it would need replaced.  You should look for a used one.
Later she contacted me again, but gave me n0 information.  She did not “reply with quote”, meaning the previous “thread” of conversation was not included in this email.   She started a new email, and used no subject line and at this point I had no idea who was emailing me,  what car it was or what part she was inquiring about or that had been a previous email,  as I receive a dozen emails a day.  This is why I replied “for what?”.   Here the rest of our emails together.

END OF EMAILS.
My last reply here was short and to the point.  I do not know where to get a exhaust manifold for a 89 Winnebago Le’Sharo.
I think I understand why she might be upset.  Because I answered, assuming the question was “Do I know where to get an exhaust manifold for a 89 Winnegago Le’Sharo.”
But what she asked was  “Would you be able to find the part or tell me where to look?” so my reply of, “No I do not” is slightly nonsensical, and she probably interpreted as “I am not willing to help you find the part nor tell you where to look”.
This is a simple misunderstanding, almost assuredly due to me rushing through reading the email, and misunderstanding my reply.
Let me tell you why I rushed through the email.  1.  We are  a VW specialty shop.  We work on little bitty cars, jetta’s bugs, golfs ect.  She has a RV.  Winnebego Le’sharo is built on a Renault  drivetrain.  Renault is a French made car that is virtually obsolete.  The Le’sharo RV is even more obsolete.  I have no clue where to get parts for these.  We don not work on Rv’s.  And we do not work on  Renault cars either.  Our parking lot is small and there is no room for a RV.  2.  Shop was closed and I was on vacation in TX.  I was answering emails quickly on my phone in between doing vacation type things such as beach, sailing, mini-golf ect.   .
I dont know why someone with a French Renault based RV would email a Vw specialty shop looking for parts.
FYI at one point we did offer 5 speed conversion on VW Eurovan based Rv’s call Rialta.  As our business has grown,   we no longer have the space for these large vehicles and do not service them.  If you saw our parking lot on any particular day you would see this.  An RV can hardly even drive into our lot.
